Curriculum

A connected path through every learning year.

Owlwood is designed to make grade-level expectations understandable, lessons manageable, and progress visible without turning learning into a checklist.

01
Pre-K-2

Foundations

Early literacy, number sense, observation, expression, and learning routines built through short, active lessons.

02
Grades 3-5

Growing independence

Knowledge-rich Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies with visible daily goals.

03
Grades 6-8

Connected thinking

Subject courses that strengthen reasoning, communication, study habits, and confident practice.

04
Grades 9-12

Purposeful progress

Secondary coursework with clear milestones, deeper options, and preparation for each learner's next destination.

Course controls

One course library can create many useful plans.

A family can run a full balanced semester, a lighter week, or a short intensive subject block without losing the standards map.

Date range

Choose a month, semester, full year, or custom start and end dates.

Weekly rhythm

Run 1-5 learning days per week and decide which subjects appear on those days.

Course focus

Use all core subjects or build an intensive block, such as math five days a week.

Genius level

Simple Genius, Genius, and Excel Genius change support, depth, pace, and daily time.

Progress checks

Status tests every two weeks keep the plan honest.

See what is secure

Short checks show which standards and skills are holding.

Find what needs review

Missed patterns become review recommendations, not vague scores.

Adjust with approval

Owlwood can recommend more subject days, a different Genius level, or a review course; parents choose whether to apply it this week or going forward.
